COURSE OVERVIEW

The Qualifi Level 3 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis in Clinical Practice is designed to equip healthcare and aesthetic practitioners with the essential knowledge and practical skills to respond confidently to medical emergencies in clinical and professional settings. This award focuses on delivering life-saving interventions, ensuring practitioners can provide effective first aid in a safe and controlled manner. The course is a blend of home study theory and practical’s, with all hands-on training taking place at our Hale Barns Academy in Cheshire. Learners will develop the competence to assess emergency situations, manage unresponsive casualties who are breathing normally or abnormally, and respond appropriately to anaphylaxis and choking incidents. The course also covers the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), enabling practitioners to act quickly and effectively during cardiac emergencies. Ideal for nurses, medical professionals, and qualified aesthetic practitioners, this award ensures learners can deliver immediate care in line with professional standards and clinical guidelines. Upon completion, practitioners will be able to maintain high standards of patient safety, emergency response, and clinical confidence, supporting better outcomes in critical situations. REQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: This qualification is valid for 1 year. The learner must retake this qualification prior to the expiry date to remain qualified. To achieve this qualification a learner must successfully complete the three mandatory units and 3 optional unit – 48 credits: BLSCP301 Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis in Clinical Practice
