The Qualifi Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Aesthetic Practice is an advanced qualification
designed to equip learners with the scientific knowledge, technical skills, and professional expertise required to deliver non-surgical aesthetic procedures safely, effectively, and ethically. The course combines theoretical learning with practical application, preparing practitioners to work confidently in advanced aesthetic practice.
Learners will develop the ability to conduct comprehensive client consultations and
advanced skin analyses, using technology to recognise skin types and conditions and plan treatments within their professional scope. The programme also provides essential training in needlestick safety, infection prevention, and clinical hygiene, ensuring all procedures are conducted in a safe and compliant manner.
The course covers legal, regulatory, ethical, and professional requirements, including
sustainable practices, and emphasises collaborative working with healthcare and other
professionals to ensure the safe and effective delivery of treatments. Learners will gain
advanced knowledge of skin science, including anatomy, physiology, pathology,
biochemistry, biophysics, and morphology, which underpins all clinical practice.
Practical modules focus on advanced procedures, including microneedling and medium-
grade chemical peels, where learners will develop the skills to assess client suitability,
manage risks, deliver bespoke treatments, and evaluate outcomes. On completion, learners will be fully equipped to perform professional aesthetic procedures with confidence, clinical precision, and ethical practice.
The course is a blend of home study theory and practical’s, with all hands-on training taking place at our Hale Barns Academy in Cheshire.

To achieve this qualification a learner must successfully complete the eight mandatory units

- CO503: Legal, Regulatory, and Clinical Requirements for Aesthetic Practice
- CO504: Professional, Ethical, and Sustainable Principles within Aesthetic Practice
- CO505: Working Collaboratively with Healthcare and Other Professionals
- CO506: Advanced Skin Science for Aesthetic Practice
- AP602: Advanced Aesthetic Procedures: Micro-needling
- AP603: Advanced Aesthetic Procedures: Chemical Peels

QUALIFICATION
The QUALIFI Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Aesthetic Practice is made up of 48 credits which equates to 480 hours of TQT.

Level 4 qualification in a related sector or equivalent Or

QUALIFI Level 4 Diploma in Aesthetic Procedures for Skin Rejuvenation, including the unit AP301: Skincare to Support Aesthetic Procedures Or
QUALIFI Level 4 Diploma in Micropigmentation or equivalent
and
Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and anaphylaxis management qualification. In addition, all learners must prove they hold a relevant English language qualification if English is not their first language.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Learners will be able to conduct advanced consultations and skin analyses using technology, recognising different skin types and lesions. They will develop the ability to analyse, evaluate, determine, and manage skin conditions safely and effectively within their professional scope of practice.
Learners will understand and apply best practice for needlestick injury prevention, infection control, and sharps safety, ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation and maintaining a safe clinical environment.
Learners will demonstrate knowledge of legal, regulatory, and clinical requirements in aesthetic practice, understanding how to comply with legislation, professional codes, and clinical governance standards. They will also be able to implement ethical, professional, and sustainable principles, ensuring integrity and responsibility across all areas of practice.
Learners will be able to work collaboratively with healthcare and other professionals, understanding multidisciplinary roles and referral pathways to ensure the safe, ethical, and effective delivery of aesthetic treatments.
Learners will develop advanced knowledge of skin science, including pathology, biochemistry, biophysics, anatomy, physiology, and morphology, and apply this understanding to plan and deliver evidence-based aesthetic treatments.
Learners will be able to perform advanced microneedling procedures safely and effectively on the face, neck, and body. They will assess client suitability, carry out professional consultations, manage risks and complications, implement bespoke treatment plans, and evaluate outcomes to improve practice.
Learners will be able to perform medium-grade chemical peel procedures safely and effectively on the face, chest, and hands. They will apply professional consultation skills, manage risks and complications, deliver treatments in line with bespoke plans, and evaluate outcomes to support continuous professional development.
