This nationally recognised qualification supports progression within the aesthetics industry and prepares learners for higher-level aesthetic practice.

Learners will develop a comprehensive understanding of professional practice within the aesthetics industry, including client safety, informed consent, safeguarding, equality and diversity, communication with healthcare professionals, infection prevention, and legal and insurance responsibilities. The qualification also explores professional standards expected within modern aesthetic practice, supporting safe, ethical, and evidence-based treatment delivery.

The course includes detailed anatomy and physiology for advanced aesthetic practice, enabling learners to develop a deeper understanding of the integumentary, circulatory, nervous, and lymphatic systems, alongside wound healing, allergic reactions, skin classifications, and common skin conditions. Learners will gain the underpinning scientific knowledge required to carry out advanced aesthetic procedures safely and effectively while understanding how the body responds to treatment.

Practical treatment units allow learners to develop competence in advanced microneedling and chemical peel treatments. Learners will develop the skills required to carry out thorough consultations, skin analysis, treatment planning, treatment application, monitoring of client wellbeing, management of adverse reactions, and post-treatment aftercare. Practical competence is supported through reflective practice and professional evaluation to encourage continuous improvement and safe working practices.

Throughout the qualification, learners are encouraged to develop professional behaviours, reflective practice, and ongoing continuous professional development to support progression within the aesthetics industry. On completion, learners will be equipped with the advanced knowledge and practical competence required to progress confidently within advanced aesthetic practice and onto higher-level qualifications such as the ProQual Level 7 Diploma in Aesthetic Practice.
